What the F#@% (Fire) are the Champs!!!

Fire captain Harvey Snelgrove was named the game's first star in a white-knuckle 4-3 victory over the ADC Lynx in the 2006A's championship game. Long-time Lynx forward Roger Keating led the Fire with two goals in the title affair.

The ADC Lynx, the league's perennial bridesmaids, are now 0-7 in championship games. The Keane Fire were appearing in the title game for the first time.

Snelgrove's playoff save percentage of 0.924 was the second best mark in ADC FHL history. Fire players Chad Griffin and Donnie Bailey won their fourth ADC FHL titles, tying them with Chris McMaster for third place on the all-time list of title-holders (1st = John Price, 2nd = John Dulong). It had been seven seasons since Griffin's last triumph with the Lite-Sabres. Bailey and teammates Gil Mombourquette, David Blandford, and Amy Scott have now won two consecutive titles.
