New Designs Wanted

Interested in stretching your graphic design skills? Think your brain has been devoting too much attention to your sports interests and not enough on the budding artiste within? Well, here's your chance to combine the two. We're looking for graphic design ideas for the site!

Webmaster Mike has many new features coming for the new site but will be too busy coding to do any pretty photoshop work. So we're looking for volunteers. To get involved, send the league screenshots or prototypes (HTML, CSS & JPG/GIF files) with your ideas. Not everyone's ideas will be chosen, but if your idea is selected, you'll be contacted to assist with the implementation of your ideas on the site.

Just to give you an idea of what's to come, here's a list of upcoming work:

• fix the current problem with playoff stats interfering with regular season stats and enter last seasons playoff stats (that's why last seasons playoff stats aren't there yet). Create the navigation to view playoff-only stats.
• finish upgrading past features such as player pages and team pages
• provide each player a login, so they can participate in interactive features
• finish up backend work so that it's easy to set up a new season
• implement new boxscores, with scoring summaries instead of player stat totals
• move site to new webhost and do more data caching so the server can handle load
• upgrade code for all-star / season MVP voting
• add a forum
• a new front page that will focus more on articles, comments and web 2.0 / user interactive features
