And then there were two

We are down to two remaining teams and let's see who they are.

First semi-final saw the Sabres meeting up with the Fire.

On paper these teams were looking pretty even and the game started out that way. Fire drew first blood whine snook scored his first of 3 on the night but the Sabres came right back with Ryan Sampson grabbing a goal from the point. The Fire answered right back when Strum scored without any help, but back came the Sabres with a goal to even it up when the rookie duo of Windsor and Brown teamed up to keep it even. The Sabres added two more to end the period and after the first, it was 4-2 Sabres.

The second saw the Sabres bring the heat as they added 6 goals in the period while the Fire scored four of their own, but after the second the Fire found themselves down by 4 and a score of 10-6.

The third was a bit more conservative but the Sabres managed to add two more to the Fire's one and when it was all over, the Sabres were moving on by besting the Fire by a score of 11-7

Note that Myles Raymond notched 4 goals in this one! Way to go Myles!

Next up we're the Hackers and the Lynx.

Cooper a bunch of times. Andy Comeau! Joe Murphy...

Blah, blah, blah!

TheLynx did what everyone else has done, hung on for a bit then just got overwhelmed by the dominance.

Hackers win this convincingly by a score of 10-5

So the stage is set.

Note that league brass has made it very clear that they will clamp down on physical play in this game. 

"We have seen an escalation of stick work body and verbal aggression and we don't like it. These two teams are both under close watch and we will be calling this one tight so it doesn't get out of hand"
