Since we here at the HFHL are a family friendly organization, we think that from time to time we will run a piece centered around the family with some helpful hints for those challenging moments in the hopes that this will help us all get through the day a bit better for the wear.
So, some of us have kids right. And we know how hard it can be at bedtime, what with baths, brush your teeth, leave your sister alone, stop running around, stop jumping on the bed...and many, many more. At the end of a long day, when you just want to get the kid in bed, sometimes it takes a little bit of energy just to stay in the right frame of mind.Well here's a little thing to help you deal with one of the final tasks of the night. The bedtime story. Everyone knows the bedtime story. It is often the weapon of choice used by children all over the free world to stay awake longer. It can be the straw that breaks the camel's back at times as well. especially when you are trying to get out the door for the big game at the Big Floor Arena or maybe Small Floor Gardens.
I know that there have been times that I have been on the fringe of running late and then along comes that bedtime story, you know the one, you've read it a thousand times. It always ends the same and it's never short. So we thought we'd give you a pointer to ensure that you don't end up showing up late or even missing a game due to the dreaded but ever so important bedtime story. Just get to the point. Don't bother with the messy details. The kid's heard it a thousand times remember?! We thought it best that we share the illustration to help those who are more challenged with explanations. Give it a try next time you are in a hurry. Hey, and just maybe if you choose your words carefully, Little Johnny just might think twice about asking you to read THIS story one more time.
