Halifax Floor Hockey LeagueCaptain Adam "Wowie" Cowie has put together a rather unlikely group of "misfits" as veteran Tooooonnnnyyyy Joooooyyyycccceee put it so eloquently. But these guys have gelled.
"Everyone knows what their role is on the team." Says Cowie. "I run and shoot, Tony shoots and walks, Dave Lebreton looks great with that star like hair of his. Then there is Mike "The Sniper" MacInnis and he is a garbage man. Picks em' up where ever they are and his favorite line is "They don't ask you how". On "D" we have Gordon Martell aka "Guido" and Rob "I can't" Tighe, Barry "I know how to" Pickrem and last but not least Peter "Faretheewellluv" Rankin. These guys have played tremendous all year long and are a big part of why we have been successful. That leaves only one position and that is "team motivator". We chose Marty for our "team motivator" for his tact when advising players what they could be doing a bit better. He always has had a way with words and it scares the crap outta the guys sometimes, can I say that on T.V.? Anyway, we have had a good year...and it's all because I knew what i was doing when I picked the "Misfits"."
The Chill will be in deep with the Lynx in this next round. It will be interesting. A tid bit of info is that the Lynx scored more goals in any one game this year on Marty with 10 in one game. They will be looking for a win but the Chill know that Lynx don't like the cold. This will be a great game.
