Halifax Floor Hockey LeagueHope everyone had a great summer and trained hard for the start of a new season.

This season is shaping up to be a doozy!
The draft was held this past Wednesday night at Eastside Mario's in Bayer's Lake, The HFHL's official restaurant of choice.
Johann "The Tradester" Tienhaara started the night off with first pick choosing non other than Braden "my hair" Urquart. Surprise, surprise...
The remaining players than slowly disappeared as each captain painstakingly tried to put together what they felt would be a winner.
After it was all said and done...it wasn't! There were three trades before they left the table. Goalies, D Men and a couple of so called forwards changed sweaters as the final changes were made. Now the schedule is complete, teams are picked...only thing left is opening night which takes place this Monday at Stad.
There are a couple of rule changes for this year...I think the HFHL FAQ was sent out with the registration. Take a peek.

Also, Adam "I'm Gellin" Schellenberg won our 2014 "A" season scoring race. Our league was given a composite stick manufactured by Frontier. He will be giving this a try opening night. Based on his feedback, it might be an opportunity for the players in the league to pool some orders for any of you who need new sticks or blades.
