It is with a sad heart I inform everyone that one of our former players was taken from this world in a tragic work accident. By accounts, Blair had been working in the US and passed away on September 4th.
His funeral will be held this coming Thursday, Sept. 24th, at Atlantic Funeral Home on Main st in Dartmouth at 1:00PM.
I encourage all those who knew him to attend if at all possible.
His obituary is here:

Blair was a super guy and great goalie. He played hard and was a gentleman on and off the surface. He will be sadly missed. I ask that you all keep his family ad friends in prayer and thoughts as they grieve for his passing.
Due to this news, there will be no rep of this past week.
I do want to say how much Blair's passing reminds us just how precious life is. I urge you to make sure that those who are your friends and those whom you love know how much they mean to you...everyday.
We are here on this earth for but a whisper in the grand scheme of things. We should make sure that our marks we leave are ones that will make another's life better and i turn ours will be as well.
Our league is nothing in the big picture guys. It is supposed to be a place for a bunch of grown men to come and have some fun. Often times, and this goes for me as much as anyone else, we take this all way too serious. Our over zealous play leads to hard feelings and unnecessary aggression. This takes the fun away from the game and this time for others. Keep yourselves in check boys. Not just in the league, but everywhere. You never know how much your life can impact others.
A final thought, do you want people to be happy when you walk into the room...or when you leave...
Blair made our rooms a better place.
RIP Blair Hammond
God Bless you all and be well
