Where Have all The Goalie Gone? Week 7 recap

This is Billy Concarney here saying I am sorry for taking so long once again. But here is the recap for week 7

First of all I want to give a big shout out to our 4 goalies. Chris MacKinnon, Jason Boudreau and Tom Wynn all doubled up this past week so that we could have goalies for all 4 games. Thanks a bunch guys.

Hackers vs Bulldogs

Well this one was a decent game. But once agin the Hackers stayed undefeated by just outscoring their opponent. The Bulldogs put in a great effort and matched the Hackers for shot totals...but the Hackers just have too much fire power and they took control.

Alex Gale had a hat trick for the winning Hackers while Evan White picked three of his own up in the losing effort.

The Hackers take this one by a score of 8-5

(Baby Face Keating grabbed two more goals for the season...could this guy be Rookie of the Year?)

Fire vs Chill

This was a weird game. The Fire fell behind by a score of 5-1 very early. But they also fought back and tied it all up in the third. Last minute or should I say second heroics by even Pittman gave his team the win. He scored on a clear cut break away with 5 seconds left.

Worst thing about this game was the 5th goal by the Chill. Larry Harris takes a snapshot that was headed into the corner. Keven Pittman running down the court with his back turned. Ball hits the shaft of his stick and goes right in the net. Bogus play and a bogus goal...but they don't ask you how...they just ask you how many. Tonight Pittman lead his team with 5 goals. Pretty good game as well.

Chill luck out with this one and win 7-6

Titans vs Lynx

The Titans had a larger team show up tonight and it seemed the rest was just what the DR ordered. They had a dominant game and three of their players, Cross, Snook and Hiltz all had hat tricks. The most interesting thing was Scott Cross's 3 assists. That is pretty rare for sure. ;-)

The Lynx played hard but just didn't have the finishing touch. Both Heidmen and Griffiths Allwood had 2 goals.

Titans take this one 10-6

Slayers vs Sabres

This was a great game. Both keepers played great as did the teams.

The Slayers had control for most of the game but a late minute surge by the Slayers led by D man Doug Forrest, who had a natural hat trick, gave the Slayers the lead. But the Sabres were not giving up and late in the game Cory McGuigan fired a shot at the net that hit Chad Banks in the chest. Banks then quickly scooped the ball in the net and tied it up. More late game heroics.

This one needed in a 5-5 tie.

This week's Eastside Mario's Player of the Game Award goes to Chris MacKinnon. He stopped 51 of 56 shots vs the Slayers. Way to go Chris!

Hackers are still undefeated. Could they go all season without a loss? Let's wait and see.

Well thats it for now folks. Be well and see you all Monday night!
