Remember the Fire

Last night the Keane Fire looked like the Oilers in their hay day. They certainly were out to prove a point - There is no I in Whoop AS%!. Barriault the Fire team captain allowed the Slayers to pick up a couple of extras - above and beyond what they needed - this guy likes the competition. Haddad, the team assistant captain had a personal vandetta against the slayers by scoring - well we all lost count. Spiro Bokolas (AKA Coffey Jr.), the leagues leading offensive defenceman said "Barriault played like a champ letting in only four goals - Were just getting ready to pummel the rest of the league." Mike Lanny MacDonald was quoted as saying "It was my powerful slender thighs that rallied the team; this was only my first game back and the Lynx better be prepared to feel my heat next week." Mike (Monty) Montgomery - The ex St.Pats Nose Tackle (1997 - 1999) scored multiple times last night making the night a Royal Flush for the Fire and a pair of two's for the Slayers. Before the game Monty was quoted, "If I can score on Red Light Dulong twice in a game I might be able to score on some other goalies in this wasteland of a league." Steve Uchacz was interviewed on the set of General Hospital prior to the game "I figure the Royals will make a no show tonight - With me and my GQ looking beard on Defense, they know what will happen if they show up." Abbott and Snelgrove were interviewed after the game by ex hall of famer Paul Chui and were quoted as saying, "Were like Grandma's cabbage rolls - everyone wants to have them for lunch but not everyone can handle them ; and as for Allison and the rest of those missing Lynx - they better wear their sun block next week!" There was no single individual that made this victory a success, it was their will to obtain second place and hang out with the Sabres for just a little while. Chris Berman
