Lynx Scratch Their Way Into First

On paper, the Lynx looked like they may have had the best team in the league heading into the 2001B season. After four games without a loss, it's comfirmed.

With this week's 6-6 tie with the Hackers, the Lynx have firmly staked their claim as the league's top squad. The Lynx managed to acquire four elite goal scorers over the off-season in Blaise MacPhee, Steve Chiasson, Craig Mercer and Jason Fitzgerald. Add into the mix the season's top goaltender Tony MacCarthy, and the Lynx have a formula for success.

Team captain Richard Wannamaker attributes his team's success to, well, Richard Wannamaker. "To be honest, I'm a master hockey scout. My technique in this season's draft was unparalleled", explained Wannamaker.

Wannamaker blathered on: "Add to that my knack for scoring goals in the clutch...well, let's just say I'm hearing three little letters in my head...M V P".
