Price Notches 400th Point; Haddad Tallies 250th

April 1, 2002
Week 5 of the 2002A season was a week of milestones in the FHL. John Price, the Wayne Gretzky and the Doug Jarvis of the FHL, notched his 400th career point in his 65th consecutive game. It didn't come easy for Price though, as his milestone point came on a goal that turned out to be Price's only point of the night in a 10-5 loss to the first-place Sabres. Price, who missed the first period of the game due to a commitment to another league, was quick to spread the kudos.

"I dedicate this milestone to all those Hackers that I've had the pleasure of playing with. The Dave Walshes, the Don Abbotts, the Chris Doodys, the Mike Sascos, the Shawn Curries, and the Steve Schumphs...heck, even the Richard MacMillans!"

Price's closest nearest rival in the all-time scoring race, Kevin Haddad, also reach a milestone in his week 5 game. Haddad's two points in a 10-7 loss to the Slayers, gave him 250 in his career. Haddad, the Marcel Dionne of the FHL (in that he's the most prolific scorer never to have won the championship), was equally as quick to denounce his playing parters over the years.

"I got to this goal in SPITE of the Rob Sascos, the Perry Gillams, the Spiro Bokolases, the Al MacDonalds and the Harvey Snelgroves!" After the game, Haddad also revealed his wish to be furthermore referred to as "K. Daddy". "I'm not getting the attention I deserve in the press", explained Haddad, "maybe this will help my cause. Plus it might get my foot in the door in the rap industry."
