Alex Yeadon is this weeks HFHL Player of the Week

And The Winner Is?

December 23, 2018
Give me your ears, oh peasants and kings!!
My name is Billith Concarney and I am the resident scribe here at the HFHL Come hither as I tell a tale of the Slayers.
Now these gents weren't just any Slayer, they were a a rag tag team of speed demons relentless and focused on one prize...the HFHL Cup
But someone stood in their way...that someone was the Chill. Another rag tag team but maybe not as fast, or focused, but they were in the finals and if the Slayers wanted to cap their season off with a championship, they had to get past the Chill.
So this match started and the Slayers wasted n time in running and gunning and that led to 4 goals in the first period. The Chill could not get one past the mighty Bobert The Great Strum of Derilict Shire. As he was a stubborn old goat when it came to these playoffs of lore.
The whistle sounded and thee Slayers had taken a 4 to zero lead.
The second period was a rather mundane affair as the Chill finally solved the riddle of Strum by scoring their first goals of the game.
Second period over, and the Slayers take a 4-1 lead into the 3rd and final frame.
So, the third period started and none other than JD of Darborough Burroughs tallies a weak goals off a rather fortunate shot that hit the post and then trickled in past a slumping Kane.
Oe Gill The Momborqutte then had a great serge of power summoned from the depths of his inner being to score two goals and draw within two with about 6 minutes left to play. But Matt Reed took a sweetly placed pass from Mr JD and snuffed out any life that may have crept into the Chill and regained a 3 goal lead for the Slayers.
Then the final whistle blew and this was all over with the Slayers triumphant once again and leaving the Chill to wallow i their misery.
The Slayers saw JD grab his farewell win as he leaves the league to fight monsters in he wood elsewhere. Greatest of luck to thee oh John of The Darnbrough. This win also marks the second championship in as many seasons form Matt "Son of the Bob" Strum. It also makes for a first recorded historical account of a father and son winning a championship together. Well done lads.
Special mention to Bobert The Great Strum for a game well played.

So this my fair maidens and gents are the words of this old soul.may they ever be etched in the parchment of time here at the HFHL.

Congrats to Yee Ol" Slayers...your 2018B season champs!

Blah, blah, blah.... Good job boys.

This is Billith Concarney saying so long and be well folks!
