Sunnydale Shines! Slayers Upset Hackers to Win Fir

On Thursday night the Sunnydale Slayers defeated the LAN Hackers 11-10 in overtime to become the first team other than the Hackers or the Lite-Sabres to win the championship.

Tony Joyce scored the winning goal for the Slayers in the first championship game ever to be decided in overtime (not including shootouts). Joyce and teammate Chad Randell led all scorers with four goals each, while their defenseman Jason Rolad added three assists.

Six Hackers scored goals in a losing cause, as they dropped to 1-4-1 against the Slayers in their last six contests.
