This is Billy Concarney with a bit of a wrap up of the Championship game shellacking of the Sabres by the Hackers.
This one was close fr about 3 minutes, but then the Hackers speed and tenacity just overwhelmed the undermanned Sabres. After the first the Sabres had two goals...but the Hackers had amassed 5 and it was 5-2 after the first. the second saw things relatively quiet as the Hackers scored 2 more but that was just the beginning. 7-2 after the second.
the third saw the Hackers show no mercy as they piled on 6 more and after the final whistle, the hackers were champs with a decisive 13-2 win.
Rookie sensation Joe Murphy grabbed 5 goal and 2 helpers while his fellow speed demon Dave Cooper had a hat trick and two helpers.
Craig Burgoyne played a solid game despite not being tested too much, but sometimes those are the arts ones to play.
Congrats to the Hackers for their season of dominance!
This is Billy Concarney here saying so long and have a great summer folks! (if it ever gets here)
