The night belonged to Trevor McGuigan who stood by himself almost all night in front of the Slayers net and tucked rebound after rebound past Kane. The Slayers defence were no where to be found. The offence was there, but you just can't leave a guy with hands like McGuigan in front of the net. He will hurt you...and hurt he did.
Kane did not turn in his best performance but the back end of the Slayers game did not really exist.
The better shots and chances were by far in favour of the Titans. They outworked and out played the Slayers to win this one.
You still have to give the Slayers credit for getting to the big dance. They worked hard in the final part of the season and really came together at the right time. It just was not meant to be as the Titans made short work of them this night.
Get ready for the next season folks.
This is Billy Concarney wishing you all a Happy New Year!
Be well!
